Agent Revenue Leak.
An Agent Revenue Leak is revenue a brand loses to AI agents, not because its own agent underperforms, but because the agents acting for buyers never reach the close. The order bends to an intermediary before it reaches the brand, or the brand's last step is unusable. Every brand that AI can find but not transact with has one.
Not your AI agent. The agents acting for your buyers, never reaching your revenue.
Why this exists
Being found is not
being paid.
Brands measure whether AI mentions them. That is the entry ticket. The revenue question is what happens next: when an agent moves from naming a brand to placing the order, does the brand still hold the transaction?
Often it does not. The order routes to an intermediary, or the brand's own last step cannot be operated by an agent. The brand is visible and still loses the sale. That gap, between being found and being transacted with, is the Agent Revenue Leak [S1].
Two leaks. One lost order.
The revenue leaves at one of two points. Each is measurable, and each needs a different fix.
01
Interception
The order bends to a third party before it reaches the brand: a comparison portal, a dealer, an EPC contractor, an integrator. The brand is found, but a middle layer takes the transaction first. At Allianz, 4 of 18 category answers route to a comparison portal as the path [S3].
02
Completion
The agent reaches the brand, but the last step is unusable. The route is form-ready, then it stalls. At Commerzbank, the path is form-ready and the close stops at the KYC check [S4]. Found, reached, and still not transacted.
Two things it is not.
Not your own AI agent
An Agent Revenue Leak is not a verdict on a chatbot you deployed. It measures the agents acting for your buyers, the ones that research, compare, and increasingly transact. The leak sits on the surface they meet, not in a tool you run.
Not a visibility problem
Being found is the entry ticket, not the close. A brand can rank, be cited, and still lose the order at the interception or the completion. Visibility metrics stop where the leak begins.
Measure. Build. Validate.
01
Measure
Not a visibility dashboard. Agent Success Score locates the leak per lane: where the order bends to an intermediary, and where the last step stalls, across the agent classes that drive decisions.
02
Build
Not more traffic. Answer Pages, Reference Pages, and callable surfaces deployed on or alongside your own domain, so the agent reaches the brand and completes instead of routing away.
03
Validate
Not a one-time audit. Public benchmarking via the DAX 40 Agent Success Index, re-measured each wave, so a closed leak stays closed.
On scope
The diagnosis, not the dashboard.
This page publishes the concept: what an Agent Revenue Leak is, the two places it leaks, and what it is not. The way the leak is located per brand, the scoring that quantifies it, the task grids, and the agent fleet that runs the measurement are proprietary. The diagnosis belongs in the open. The instrument stays inside the engagement.
